Description

Welcome to Hatch, a game about the challenges and dedication of being a parent bird! Your mission is simple but crucial: sit on your precious egg until it hatches.

Your warmth is the key to life. By sitting on the egg, you increase the hatching progress. But the outside world is full of dangers! Harsh weather and pools of water can undo all your hard work, drastically reducing the egg's progress if it gets wet.

Leaving the egg alone also causes it to cool down, so you must be strategic.

To protect your future chick, you can build wooden shelters. Gather wood by simply landing on wooden platforms or objects. However, you can't gather resources while holding your egg!

This creates the core challenge of Hatch: you must carefully balance the time you spend incubating your egg against the time you spend gathering materials to build a safe nest. You can fly while carrying the egg to move it to a safer spot, but be warned—flying with it is just like leaving it alone, and it will lose warmth!

Can you master the delicate art of parenting and build a sturdy enough home to welcome a new life into the world?

Gameplay Instructions

Objective

Keep the egg warm by sitting on it. The hatching progress bar will fill up as you incubate it. Protect the egg from water and don't leave it alone for too long, or the progress will decrease.

Core Mechanics

• Hatching: To incubate the egg, stand next to it and press the "interact" button. Press it again to get up.
• Gathering Wood: To build, you need wood. Simply land and stand on any wooden surface without holding the egg to automatically collect it.
• Building: Use your gathered wood to create protective structures.

Controls

Keyboard:

• Fly/Flap: Spacebar (tap repeatedly)
• Move (on ground): A / D or Arrow Keys
• Sit on Egg / Release Egg: E
• Zoom In / Out: + / - keys
• Build: Mouse Click (assumindo que o clique do mouse é usado no menu de construção)

Gamepad:

• Fly/Flap: A Button (Xbox) / X Button (PlayStation) (tap repeatedly)
• Move (on ground): Left Stick or D-Pad
• Sit on Egg / Release Egg: Y Button (Xbox) / Triangle Button (PlayStation)
• Zoom In / Out: D-Pad Up / D-Pad Down
• Build: RT Button (Xbox) / R2 Button (PlayStation)

Disclaimer / Known Issues

Please be aware of a known bug that can occur if the egg is released very close to the ground. I am working on a fix, and this issue will be resolved in a future version. Thank you for your patience!

• Requirement: This game requires the .NET 6.0 SDK (or newer) to run.
• Performance Note: As a simulation-heavy game, Hatch might run slowly on some hardware configurations.
